Dr. Emilio (full name: José Emilio Vargas Soto), is well recognition person who
loves to teach engineering, and is passionate about generating benefits by researching and applying engineering in industry.
He
got the Ph. D. on Informatics and Automation from the Universidad Complutense
de Madrid (1994). The Electrocommunication
University of Tokyo grants to him a Postdoctoral Degree for its researches in
the field of free locomotion gaits for walking robots (1997). He has 31 year
expertise in the topics of Mechanical Eng., Computer Science and Robotics. He is considered an expert of Mechatronics Systems. Dr. Vargas has worked in several
researches of industrial projects in Japan, Spain and Mexico. He is the
founder of the Mexican Society on Mechatronics,
co-founder of Mexican Society on Robotics, and
IEEE Senior Member. He received the
Excellence Research Medall from the Universidad Anáhuac México Sur, where he became Director of the Faculty of Engineering for five years. He is author
and co-author of 22 books,
14 chapter of books,
40 indexed papers, more of 200 conferences
in national and international congresses, member of National Researchers Systems of
CONACYT
(Area: Engineering, Level:1). He has done teaching work in several mexican universities like UNAM, ANAHUAC, ITESM, LaSalle, UVM, UNIVA, and others.
He has been working for the Autonomuos University of Querétaro for 10 years, where he is now a full-time professor at the Engineering Faculty and collaborates as Consulter of Technology in the mexican company
Quattro Robotics S.A. He speaks English and
Japanese.
